Cookie policy
Last updated 28 October 2026
We use no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Everything below is needed for the site to work, so the law doesn't require us to ask first, and there's no cookie banner.
Cookies
| Name | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
arcade_session | Keeps you signed in. Only set when you log in. | 30 days, renewed while you play; deleted when you log out |
google_state, google_verifier | Protect "Continue with Google" sign-in against forgery. | 10 minutes |
auth_return_to | Brings you back to the page you were on after Google sign-in. | 10 minutes |
Browser storage
The site and its games also save a few things in your browser's local storage. Apart from the game progress and results noted below, this never leaves your device.
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
arcade:recent | Your last few games, for the "Jump back in" row. |
arcade:player-name | The name you last used on a leaderboard, so you don't retype it. |
arcade:progress:… | A game's progress and save while you play without an account. When you sign in it moves to your account and is removed from the device. |
arcade:mirror:… | A copy of your account's progress in a game, so you can keep playing offline. It stays on the device until you clear the site's data. |
arcade:outbox | Results, scores and saves made while offline, waiting to be sent to your account when you're back online. |
arcade:locks:… | Which of a game's levels are locked for you, so they stay locked offline. |
Keys starting with a game's name, e.g. briscola:… | That game's settings, music on/off and your best runs on this device. |
viewed:… (session storage) | Counts a game's view once per visit; cleared when you close the tab. |
Offline copies
A small background script (a service worker) keeps copies of the pages you visit and the games you've played in your browser's cache, so they still work without a connection. They're files from this site, not data about you, and the signed-in pages among them are dropped when you sign in or out.
Other services
The site's fonts are served from our own servers, so loading a page contacts no one else. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google may use its own cookies on its sign-in page, under Google's cookie policy.
Managing them
You can delete cookies and site data at any time in your browser's settings. Blocking the session cookie means you can't stay signed in; clearing local storage resets game saves and settings on that device.
